Frequently Asked Questions

How can I sell produce or pantry items to Happy Dirt?

We strive daily to find new local and national suppliers to keep us stocked with great products. New inquiries from potential sources are always welcome. For the best chance of success, please get in touch with our sales + purchasing team well in advance of your season, so we can assess the opportunity to partner with you and then plan together for how to best integrate your products into our operation.

Eastern Carolina Organics is now Happy Dirt? What’s up with that?

As you can see from our brand launch video, in December 2019 we evolved to Happy Dirt after 15 years in operation as Eastern Carolina Organics (or ECO, as many of our friends called us). We are so proud of our history as ECO, and our ability to have grown over all these years in collaboration with NC organic farmers and customers along the east coast. We are still owned in part by some of our farmers! However, the time had come for a fresh new look, and an increased ability to partner with more great farmers, suppliers and customers even further away. Happy Dirt represents greater resiliency, greater impact and even greater joy as we continue to drive a greater and more sustainable food system.
