Happy Dirt’s North Carolina organic lettuce season begins in April, bringing crisp, flavorful greens to market through June—weather permitting. As summer heat sets in, we bridge the gap with organic lettuces from our farmer-partners in Pennsylvania. Then, as temperatures cool, North Carolina’s fields come alive again, kicking off another round of organic lettuces from September through November. After November, we transition to Florida organic lettuces throughout the winter until we circle back to North Carolina in the spring.
